Rejected UPCAT Questions.

Yesterday was the University of the Philippines College Admission Test or UPCAT and for the first time, the test had an essay portion. When I asked my high school senior friends about the essay portion of the exam, they told me that they were asked with hilarious and weird ones. Pamela, a friend of mine was asked about the things she often does in detail while another friend of mine got this question on his essay: "Pretend that you met an alien. Narrate the events." According to this news article, those who took the UPCAT test were faced with hilarious, twisted or weird questions such as: "If your crush says that he/she loves you, will you say that you love him/her too?" and "Narrate the conversation when you encounter with an alien." which was the question that one of my senior friends had on their essay section of the exam. #RejectedUPCATEssayQuestions also trended this morning because of the hilarious questions found in the essay portion of the UPCAT exam.

While searching for Rejected UPCAT Questions on Twitter, I came across with a link to a Tumblr post which is a comprehensive list of Rejected Upcat Questions and since the post is really long, (there are 200 Rejected UPCAT Questions in the post) I'm just going to give you guys the link to it: http://smsnch.tumblr.com/post/28710397178/upcat2012

I also tweeted a few Rejected UPCAT Questions which are not in the list in the post above and I decided to post it here for the laughs:

1. If you download a movie illegally in Jamaica, does that make you a Pirate of the Caribbean?

2. Are Starships meant to fly?

3. Are you in or out?

4. If you are the mother of Britney Spears and you found out that she fell in love with a criminal, what would you do?

5. Oh baby baby, have you seen Amy tonight? If yes, where can you find her? Give directions in detail.

Theme Updated

As you have noticed, the theme of my blog has changed. This time, I decided to change the color scheme of my blog, the banner and the width. I know the background's kinda blurred, you see, originally, it was like 200px and it would be too small for a background so I had to resize it and that explains the blurness even though I already sharpened the photo after I resized it.

BTW, I made an IM5 fanfic on Wattpad, check it out here: http://www.wattpad.com/story/1820814-we-found-love-in-paradise. Please do leave reviews and do keep it constructive.

Also, I'll be putting up a page in here soon where you can see the past themes of this blog. The Themes page will be under the About page.

Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon, Sr. (July 25, 1928-July 10, 2012)

When I logged on to Facebook kaniha, my newsfeed was mostly filled with news about Dolphy's death and at first, hindi ako naniwala na totoo yun since rumors of his death also made a scene on social media a few months back but after checking the official website of ABS-CBN news, (although the same news was posted on the network's official Facebook account, I still preferred to check their official website to confirm the news) totoo nga yung balita about his death.

Dolphy played an important role in my life, well not just mine, but he also played a role in every Filipino's life.  I could still remember watching his movies on Cinema One as a kid and even though at that time, I wasn't really able to get his jokes, but for some reason, natatawa pa rin ako. I also remembered watching his TV shows on TV as a kid and he never fails to bring laughter and happiness to his viewers. I remember the watching the one of the last movies he starred in, which is called "Nobody, Nobody...But Juan" in cinemas which became an entry to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival. When I watched this movie, there was laughter all over the place and from what I've seen in the movie, almost every scene was catchy and memorable and Dolphy's acting, despite of his age, was still pure gold. He's one of the few actors and actresses who don't end up being branded as overrated after how many years of being in the Showbiz industry and that's one reason why people still continue to respect him and be inspired by him after all these years. He has pure talent that's incomparable, a pure talent that stands out from the rest and there's really no doubt to him being the King of Comedy. From his humble beginnings until today, in one way or another, Dolphy has always given us a reason to smile and enjoy life.

I will always remember Dolphy, not just for the laughter that he has given us, but for inspiring us to stay happy and make others happy despite of how complicated our lives are today. My sincere condolences to Dolphy's family and loved ones. He will be missed but never forgotten.

And that concludes Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4...

Last night was the Big Night for Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4, and yeah, I was awake the entire night waiting for the results via Twitter and cheering for Joj and Jai, still via Twitter. The results of the Big Night were not as I expected though but still, congratulations to Myrtle Sarrosa in her victory as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4!

For me, Joj and Jai deserve to be the big winners because of the fact na nagpakatotoo sila sa Bahay ni Kuya during their entire stay there in a good way. They really proved themselves as good examples to our youth today. Sure, they were linked with some male housemates during their stay pero hindi sila naglalandi, eh. I'm not against the other housemates and their fans because I know that Myrtle, Karen and Roy also did well in the PBB house and certainly, they were not faking themselves and that's why they're where they are today.

I am not saying that there was fraud in the results of the Big Night, all I am saying is that if given the chance to choose who the big winners should be, I would go for Joj and Jai and what you can read in this post is my reason why I rooted for them. I don't have any hatred for the other housemates and their fanbases because I know that the other housemates did their best to prove themselves and their fans also did their best to support them.

Congratulations to Joj and Jai! Even though they're just in fourth place, at least they made it all the way to Big 4. Joj and Jai, Kayo pa rin ang big winner para sa amin!

The Sara Duterte punching incident: One Year Later

Today marks the first anniversary of the punching incident between Mayor Sara Duterte and Sheriff Abe Andres and just a few days ago, Mayor Sara Duterte made a public apology to Sheriff Abe Andres regarding the punching incident and for me, I'm really happy for the fact that something better happened a year after the incident. Anyway, here's the video of Mayor Duterte's public apology:

For me, I really think that it's a good thing that Mayor Duterte apologized even though what she did served right for the sheriff. At least both sides already apologized and that they were already able to heal from the incident and even though Mayor Duterte did not apologize until a year later, but at least she was still able to apologize. I mean, if you rush people into apologizing what they've done, the apology wouldn't be from the heart and I salute Mayor Duterte for doing what's right and making things even better.

I Heart Fashion Presents: Neon Mania!

I Heart Fashion is back and for today's post, I'm going to feature neon outfits since it's the theme for our acquaintance party. First on the list is Neon Dresses:

Above (Left): Peach Neon Dress; Center: Pink Neon Dress; Right: Green Neon Dress.

From the three, the pink neon dress and the green neon dress are my favorite ones. Now, for the next item on this list are neon platforms:

Above (Left): Finder Cork Platform Sandals (Yellow); Center: Senso Santana Neon Mega Platform (Pink); Right: Guiseppe Zanotti Colorblocking Neon Wedge

These are just a few of the things that may inspire what I would wear to our acquaintance party and probably the stuff that will inspire what you wear to any neon-themed party you're attending. The photos used in this post are not mine, they belong to their rightful owners.

That's all for my post today & stay tuned for more!

Fifteen.

This one's going to be my comeback post after not blogging for about 3 months. Anyways, it was my 15th birthday or as what the Mexicans would call it, QuinceaƱera two days ago. We just had a simple dinner with family and friends for my birthday party and we were singing a mash-up of "Zombie" and "Just a Dream" which was an idea of a classmate of mine. So yeah, I'm fifteen years old  young already.

Before I end my post, I have an account on FanFiction.Net and I have already posted a few fanfics there, if you wanna check it out, the link's here: http://www.fanfiction.net/~xcharmcandyx.
