My Reaction to CGMA's TRO Issue

We all know about the issue regarding CGMA and the TRO that was issued to her. We all know that the Supreme Court and the Government had conflicts because of this issue and recently, CGMA was placed under Hospital Arrest. What you are about to read is my reaction to this issue.

First of all, CGMA has a condition and this is not just your pangkaraniwang condition. I forgot what this condition was called but this is a condition which according to experts, needs surgery to be corrected. For me, since the government didn't sue CGMA right away and also since her TRO was issued before she was sued, she should have been allowed to travel instead. She might have done something wrong to our country but we shouldn't be too hard on her especially na may medical condition na siya that can only be cured by surgery at hindi lang basta basta na surgery. I mean she has the right to choose her doctors pa naman, eh. Can't they just let her have her surgery abroad and have people from the NBI or Interpol or something like that look after her while she's at it to make sure that she doesn't escape and then let her return to the country after the surgery or something. We all know that she made mistakes during her administration but that doesn't mean that we can just go out there and hurt her then leave her to suffer. Remember the punching incident in Davao, we all know that the Mayor of Davao punched him and that she also made the mistake of doing it but you know what, Mayor Duterte sent the Sheriff to the hospital to be treated after the incident even though she is aware that the Sheriff disobeyed her orders. Sure that was a small incident compared to CGMA's TRO issue but that also dosen't mean that we should just deprive CGMA of her rights to choose where to seek treatment.

My final verdict: The government should allow her to seek medical treatment abroad but there should be people from the NBI or Interpol for example to look after her during the duration of her surgery to make sure that she does not attempt escaping from the hands of the government.

Happy 11/11/11!

Happy 11/11/11 to everyone!

What to remember about wishing:

1. Do not share your wish! Keep it to yourself. There are

chances that it won't come true by that. :D

2. The most epic wish is on 11:11:11. But any second of

 11:11 would do.

3. BOTH MORNING AND EVENING, so if you miss the

morning, you could always wish at night. :)

The POINT OF TRAVELING--an ode to a lot less than nothing that is Jasmine Vestil|My take on this issue

The POINT OF TRAVELING--an ode to a lot less than nothing that is Jasmine Vestil

I have seen her posts at 3 this morning, and I can be very blunt in saying she has a right to be that way. So let me issue her and everyone a dignified response by a bred Butuanon as I was born in Cebu. the point of traveling is to explore what is out of your comfort zone. If you plan on insulting a place that is not as perfect as the gilded surroundings as to which you were blessedly placed, then by all means buy a golden box with all the money that you have and stay there. The point of travel is to experience what you do not everyday. Why pack your bags and depart from your city only to expect the same kind of aura and experience as your destination? You live in an urbanized metropolitan city, do you not? then why travel 5-6 hours and expect the same kind of parties and booming infrastructure? Not that I condone what you said about MY city, but seriously you wasted everyone's good vibes today because of the blasphemy you put on your wall, and for what? So you can be CYBER BULLIED into oblivion?  If attention is what you wanted from people you were trying to warn about how much our city sucks, then by all means write all your friends a LETTER and keep EVERYONE ELSE out of the LOOP. No one wants to see their CITY being trashed in public. If you are not as patriotic about your city as we are about ours, then let me issue you my 5 cents. Don't insult our apparently partyless, cheap, old, useless city just because you live in a city that was BOMBED more than once, have a really boring silent NEW YEARS and the best fruit you can offer smells as much as the insults you issued on your Facebook page about a CITY you visited for only 48 hours. Do not blame us for your SHORT ATTENTION SPAN. We are not a City of clowns. We're a CITY that do not take shit sitting down. Need I remind you that the CITY as to which you bludgeoned was issued that state by people who I am very sure spent more than 48 hours there. And how praytell do you define a city? By the number of Goldilocks and party places? The point of travel is to veer away from what you HAVE on an everyday basis. If it was a waste of your time. DO NOT BLAME US FOR YOUR FOILED EXPECTATION. If you LOOK on to your CITY as a lot better than ours, then why the heck did you even visit a place which CLEARLY you did not PLAN about in the first place? The point of travel is to go from point A to point B and learn about it. You're boredom is not the fault of a City that cannot talk you out of your own preference. If cities could talk, then my dear you will literally be swallowed whole by the mere land you now tread. And need I also remind you that you do not deserve an 8600, you do not deserve the violent reactions by peaceful people that go about their lives living and loving a city they've known all their lives.  The point of travel is to enjoy what you can despite all the obstacles, nothing untoward happened to you right? would it have been understandable to call our city names because you were stabbed or robbed? Then do us all a favor and post that instead. Warn people about how cities should be insulted. Seeing that you are very wordy and adamant about it. ARE YOU THAT WORLDLY and OUTGOING that it is a merit for you to call a city useless just because we only have one mall and it is outdated? Shall I now be morally obliged to pity such a urbancity-centric person like you? You are a lot less than nothing to me Jasmine Vestil but your opinion struck a cord even to me who haven't been home in a while. I do not appreciate you calling our ladies cheap and our food bland as I am sure as hell you weren't invited to any of our homes for even something as small as a light snack that consisted of Margie's Chocolate cake, or the local Palagsing.  And seeing that you have dissuaded your friends from visiting Butuan, then I should offer you my sincerest thanks, for we do not need bad vibes coming from hapless tourists coming into our boundaries, were far to busy being happy and frankly we do not need you. I love Butuan. I do not expect you to, but please. RESPECT IT BY NEVER COMING BACK.  Thanks and Have a great life after being cyber bullied today.

I know, this was like last week and I've heard of this issue too, in fact, I reacted to it on Facebook. Jessica Ann (the writer of the article above) has a point, if Jasmine Vestil isn't interested with Butuan, she can always get her ass out of here. Butuan City is my hometown, by the way and even though It's laidback here in the sense na walang mga flyovers at maraming malls dito. In fact, hindi rin marami ang mga bar namin dito. We dont even have Starbucks or Missy Bon Bon here, but still, I love my hometown. Sure na hindi kami ganon ka-progressive as you expected but you know what, mabait ang mga tao dito Ms. Vestil. If you ask us why we treated you badly after you let go a bad remark towards our city, that is because that is our way of defending our city. How about nung nagbitaw ng mga bad remarks ang mga tao sa mayor n'yo diyan sa Davao after the punching incident, did you take it sitting down? I don't think so. It's just the same story here, people throwing insults towards our city and us defending our city from whoever tries to destroy it.

By the way Ms. Vestil, calling the ladies here in Butuan cheap makes you look insecure which you already are and our food ain't bland. Take Margie's Kitchen for example, a homegrown cake shop here in Butuan is not just popular among the locals but also to the tourists dropping by Butuan and this restaurant also has a Davao City branch, ask anyone you know who have eaten there and pretty much, they'll tell you the food there tastes good because if it didn't, then the Davao branch of Margie's Kitchen could have closed a long time ago. Isa pa, perhaps you haven't tasted our local palagsing which is raved by not just the locals but the tourists as well. In fact, we have our own version of Lechon which is called Lechon Butuan and even though it's underrated, people actually like to eat it, just as they like to eat Lechon Cebu. Lastly, you can't stop us from reaching the top. Instead of trying to downgrade us with your insults, you just made us better people. Nice try, but you can't destroy the name of our city. Sorry, but that's the truth.

And before I end this message, I would like to dedicate this song to you:

And to my readers, pasensya na lang sa post ko, that's just what people get for trying to destroy someone else's lawn.
